Bitter cars were produced in Germany and also in Austria using a business model were other manufacturers vehicle bodies were used. This approach worked well from 1973 until 1986 using components from Opel, however the business model could not sustain itself and the last production model was completed in 1986. Three prototypes were produced after that but never sold.
