Many caravan owners at Porthkerry Leisure Park will no doubt be claiming on their caravan insurance following a cliff collapse on Monday (October 31st).
Located in Barry on Vale of Glamorgan, the park saw around a dozen caravans put in immediate danger after a three-metre by 180-metre stretch of cliff suddenly eroded away.
Thankfully, nobody was harmed in the incident and now an investigation is underway to determine exactly how it happened.
Owners of static caravans on the site have praised the actions of the management, saying that they acted quickly to ensure no further damage was done.
Carol Jenkins from Merthyr Tydfil told BBC Radio Wales: "They're very hard-working park owners and they are going to be moving all the caravans back and we've been told that will be done by the weekend."
She said that the incident has not put her off opting for cliff-side caravans in the future, mainly because of the exceptional views they offer. |
