A new event could increase demand for van insurance by promoting a range of commercial vehicles.
The Commercial Vehicle Operator Show is set to take place for the first time next year and will be an ideal showcase for the industry. Birmingham's NEC is set to host the two-day event from April 13th to April 15th in 2010.
"This new show will be an ideal platform, particularly for those specialising in vehicle maintenance equipment, replacement parts, logistics and fleet management systems," explained Nick Jones, chief executive at the Society of Operations Engineers.
He added that the industry needs a business-to-business event to help promote the needs of transport operators across the UK.
Meanwhile, a new CO2 van database has been launched which could help van insurance customers to opt for more eco-friendly vehicles which have lower emissions and reduced fuel consumption.
