The emergence of a new fashion trend could mean that men need to be extra careful to get possessions they carry with them covered on their home insurance policy.
According to the Post Office, the 'manbag' has become more and more popular over the past year with celebrities such as David Beckham and Kayne West leading the trend.
However, there is always a risk of theft and the Post Office advises men to make sure the contents are properly covered.
Emma Baunach, from the home insurance sector of the company, said the bags themselves can often be expensive.
"When you take this into account along with the cost of replacing your mobile, iPod, laptop and wallet you can easily be looking at a cost that runs into hundreds of pounds," she added.
Meanwhile, the AA has encouraged people to make sure they have car insurance as thieves often take the opportunity to try and steal Christmas shopping from vehicles over the festive period.
