British men could throw a Naomi Campbell-style hissy fit if they lost their sunglasses on their holiday, new research has shown.
Nearly 30 per cent of men surveyed by The Co-operative Insurance said that if their luggage was lost or stolen they would miss their sunglasses the most.
Swimming trunks were voted in second place with 27 per cent, followed by a favourite item of clothing with 21 per cent and a mobile phone with 16 per cent.
Only seven per cent of the male gender said they would hate to lose their boxer shorts.
Highlighting the need for adequate travel insurance David Neave, director of general insurance at The Co-operative Insurance, said that the more luggage you take "the more likely it is that some or all of it will either get lost or stolen"
"The most sensible thing to do is reduce the amount of luggage you take and share out expensive items across your luggage rather than putting it all into one suitcase," he advised.
According to research by upliftedlingerie.co.uk, 37 per cent of men go out on a hot day without any underwear, PopSofa has reported.
