Rolling Stones star Mick Jagger could be shopping around for a van insurance quote after showing an interest in a rather unusual van during a walk in a park.
According to the Richmond and Twickenham Times, the singer made an offer on a 1954 Morris J-type ice-cream van following a walk in Wandsworth Common with his son.
The van's owner, Giuseppe Della Camera, has spent a decade and a total of £35,000 on restoring the vehicle and was shocked to be confronted with the star offering to purchase it from him.
Mr Della Camera explained: "I was working on Wandsworth Common when Sir Mick came up with his son and bought a couple of ice creams.
"He told me he'd really fallen in love with my van and asked me if I would consider selling it. I was stunned when he offered me £100,000."
However, the ice cream seller declined to sell the vehicle due to a promise to his young daughter that one day he will drive her to her wedding in it.
Last month, TyreSafe claimed that many van drivers could be increasing the risk of having to claim on their van insurance policies because they are failing to purchase the correct tyres for their vehicle.
