A new phone application launched to aid in the search of mortgages has been launched by London and Country (L&C).

The revolutionary application is aimed at making best-buy mortgages available at the customers' fingertips, literally.

Some of the features offered by the application, which can be downloaded free of charge, helps clients to browse the best-buy mortgages available to them.

It further makes it easier for users to find out whether they would be saving any money on a particular deal and also checks it against other products available on the market.

David Hollingworth of L&C said: "This application provides a wealth of information and easy to use mortgage tools, putting it all at our customers' fingertips."

Recently, a survey conducted by the Council of Mortgage Lenders found that 85 per cent of those polled wished to live in their own homes within the next ten years.
