Van insurance customers looking to upgrade should take a look at the latest offering from Volkswagen. The manufacturer has revealed its new range of Transporter vans as it continues to expand its portfolio.
The automaker believes that the latest model offers a more refined look as well as additional safety and comfort features.
Over ten million Transporter vans have been sold since 1950 and the latest model is expected to be just as popular when it hits showroom floors at the start of 2010.
Each new van has been designed with similar headlights and grilles to standard Volkswagen cars and there are a number of engine options including four 2.0-litre four-cylinder common rail TDI engines.
Volkswagen claims these engines will offer improved fuel efficiency to Van insurance drivers as well as being quieter with lower emissions.
New safety features include a reversing camera, a device to detect changes in tyre pressures as well as an emergency braking system that automatically turns on the van's hazard warning lights.
The exact prices of each Transporter model have not yet been finalised.
Meanwhile, plans to allow police forces to issue fixed penalty notices for careless driving have led to warnings that motor and Van insurance premiums could rise as a result.
