New multi-car savings offered on car insurance

Those people who have more than one car in their household may find that they can save themselves some pennies with a new car insurance scheme.

Admiral has announced that motorists with two or more vehicles could save up to 23 per cent with its new MultiCar policy.

Up to five cars can be insured on the same policy and receive a discounted premium if they are registered at the same address.

The renewal dates on the cars are also united which may make it easier for people when they come to renew their car insurance.

Admiral managing director Sue Longthorn said that "many people hate the hassle of renewing policies throughout the year".

She also added that the MultiCar scheme may be especially useful for young people living with their parents as "you end up with Mum, Dad and one or more of their kids all driving their own cars".

The Association of British Insurers recently urged people not to lie to their insurance providers in order to try and save money on their policies.
