Pets becoming holiday companions?

Pet owners are becoming increasingly likely to take out pet insurance and head overseas with their animals, an expert has indicated.

Editor of Pet Gazette Sam Guiry explained that there are, however, a number of things people need to consider before they travel with their furry friends.

She continued: "It is probably a good idea to check with a vet, just to make sure the animal is fit to travel.

"Some animals may not like the change to their routine and may find a long journey stressful."

Furthermore, Ms Guiry highlighted that pets may need a passport to be taken out of the UK, so this is something people need to research thoroughly before making a booking.

The International Currency Exchange recently advised anyone holidaying overseas to make sure they consider tips as part of their budget, as they can add a substantial amount to the final bill.ADNFCR-1789-ID-800598949-ADNFCR
