Provider offers 25 per cent off home insurance

Those looking to purchase home insurance may be pleased to hear about a special offer from one provider.

Churchill is offering 25 per cent off for all new customers and those who have not made a claim in the past five years could receive a discount of up to 50 per cent.

In the opinion of the company, many people are not aware that they will be covered against things such as flood damage, burst water pipes and burglary if they purchase home insurance.

Martin Scott, head of Churchill home insurance, said that due to the current recession and the expense of Christmas, people "are under a lot of financial pressure".

"But now, more than ever, households can't afford to go without comprehensive home insurance," he added.

According to the Thrifty Scot, the internet is one of the best places to bag a bargain when it comes to purchasing home insurance.
