Renault encourages safety with new low-cost tyre range

Renault drivers could reduce the risk of being involved in an accident and making a car insurance claim by fitting new tyres.

The French car manufacturer is set to introduce a new range of tyres from February 1st, aimed at owners of older Renault models.

Prices start at just £36 for a single tyre, including fitting, so are an affordable option for those put off improving their car's safety because of the cost.

Two tread patterns are featured in the Motrio range: Impulsion is intended for car insurance customers with smaller Renault models such as the Twingo and Clio, while Impulsion+ is suited for more sporty vehicles.

Commenting on the new tyres, Renault UK director of service and quality Mark Crockett said: "Our new own-brand tyre range, which of course carries Renault’s seal of approval, is very competitively priced and in many cases is significantly less expensive than the premium brands."

Earlier this month, Tyresafe reminded motorists to ensure that they have their tyres properly inflated, to keep their petrol costs as low as possible.ADNFCR-1789-ID-800373977-ADNFCR
