Motorists could reduce the risk of making a claim on their car insurance policy by heading to a tour being held at venues across the UK.

Comma, a car care specialist, has launched the National Oil Check Week roadshow which it is hoped will encourage people to take better care of their vehicle.

Taking place during National oil Check week, from June 15th until June 19th, the roadshow will take in four venues including the Trafford Centre in Manchester and Kent's Bluewater shopping centre.

Visitors will be encouraged to take advantage of free oil checks and top-ups at the events as part of the campaign to get the 30 million drivers in the UK to better look after their cars.

Last week, research from the AA revealed that 60 per cent of people in the UK think that violent car crime is on the increase.
