People with Suzuki motorbike insurance should be interested to learn that the manufacturer's Burgman Fuel Cell Scooter has become the first-ever fuel cell vehicle to receive Whole Vehicle Type Approval in the European Union.
The endorsement, which recognises the model's outstanding environmental performance and safety, means that trials of the vehicle on public roads no longer require Single Vehicle Approval for each vehicle.
Suzuki and Intelligent Energy, which invented the scooter's fuel cell system, have been taking part in the trials since February 2010 in the around Loughborough University.
