Drivers who wish to avoid making a claim on their car insurance policy may want to take note of which places they should try to avoid.
Research conducted by Virgin money has revealed that Swansea is the car-claim capital of the UK, with the postcode SA4 producing more car insurance claims per head than anywhere else.
Grant Bather, a spokesperson for the firm, said: "If you see signs for Swansea you should take extra care because our data suggests you are more likely to have to make a car insurance claim following an incident there than in any other place in the country."
He explained that this could be as a result of an accident or instances of theft and vandalism.
Leyton in east London and Widnes in Cheshire, were joint second in the survey with Birmingham being the largest major region for car insurance claims.
Meanwhile, LV= recently reminded motorists that car insurance is a legal requirement.
