Spanish Holiday Home Insurance
Spain has insurance laws which must be adhered to when you buy a Spanish holiday home. In 1954 Spain introduced the Consorcio de compensation de Seguros which requires that you pay fire brigade charges in your policy, to cover a call out for a fire on your property. Quotezone can help you find a policy which offers coverage on all Spanish requirements. We will find you UK or overseas brokers or providers who can offer you the right level of coverage. Online quotes are available from comparison sites but having to trawl through and compare each one can be tedious.
Is there a difference with Spanish insurance?
The Consorcio de Compensation de Seguros is something that only Spain enforces. The type of coverage you will receive under this particular element of your policy is for natural loss, terrorism riots and actions or deeds pertaining to the armed forces during a time of peace. The natural loss can come from an earthquake, flood, volcanic eruptions, storms or astral bodies damaging your second home. In the UK terrorism is not insurable as standard but can be bought as an extra. However, in Spain it is standard policy, as is fire brigade reimbursement.
How can I get insurance with Quotezone?
We at Quotezone understand how foreign insurance policies work and will always endeavour to tackle any terms and conditions to make sure you have the best coverage at the best price. We will design a policy perfect for your Spanish holiday home.
