Savings experts at price comparison site Quotezone teamed up with The Money Charity, to help support workshops on money management cross the country.
Over the course of the year, 495 young people attended the financial workshops across primary and secondary schools, sixth form colleges and youth groups – helping them to get more of an understanding of budgeting and planning for the future.
The 20 hours’ worth of seminars and workshops helped students right across England, from Yorkshire to Greater Manchester, and from Warwickshire to Greater London – learning how to tackle costs and find savings.
Seven of those hours were dedicated to support disadvantaged young people, helping vulnerable audiences gain a greater understanding of financial essentials.
The Money Charity has been the UK’s Financial Capability charity for 30 years, aiming to empower people across the UK to develop the skills, knowledge, attitudes and behaviours to make the most of their money throughout their lives.
Research by the team at The Money Charity shows the increased pressure families are under. In 2025, households in the UK spent £5.56 per day on water, sewerage, electricity and gas – 12.24% higher than the year before.*
Michelle Highman, Chief Executive of The Money Charity comments: “Our work reaching young people up and down the country has never been more important. We are very grateful to Quotezone for their support in 2025 helping us reach nearly 500 more young people.”
The savings experts at Quotezone aim to help people get a clearer understanding of their bills and essentials, highlighting product specifics and where savings can be made.
The team has also created a budget calculator, a tool to help customers discover money saving tips, reduce bills and plan in longer term savings.
Greg Wilson, personal finance expert and CEO at Quotezone.co.uk said: “Household finances can be confusing at the best of times, especially at the moment when families are under increased pressure with escalating cost of living expenses – making it challenging to simply afford what they did this time last year.
“Partnering with The Money Charity is really important to us, it gives tangible help, directly to local communities and groups such as young people, who could really benefit from additional information and a place to safely discuss money matters and common questions.
“Feeling confident about money early in life is key to a good relationship with finance as people grow, giving them the skills to spot issues, cut waste and build savings.
“It’s great to see the workshops reached nearly 500 young people throughout England. Our hope is that these workshops continue to grow right across the UK, as a vital support for young people.
“As savings experts, our price comparison site is designed to help people hunt for better products at more competitive prices, with information on how to keep costs as low as possible.
“We’ve also created a budget calculator to help households plan out their finances and spot any pressure points – with research on what to look-out for and how to reduce spending for the year ahead.”
Fintech pioneer Seopa Ltd. launched Quotezone.co.uk in 2005, which and has since grown to become one of the UK’s leading price comparison platforms, founded by entrepreneur Greg Wilson, and now spread across two European offices, employing over 80 staff.
Quotezone.co.uk helps households across the UK compare and save on all sorts of everyday bills and essentials.
