Find wedding insurance to protect your big day
Whether you are planning a destination wedding abroad, or a more intimate wedding in your own back garden, Quotezone.co.uk can help find you a personalised wedding insurance policy that suits your needs, and covers you against any unforeseen risks. A wedding event insurance policy can include change of date cover, loss of wedding rings, accident cover, cancellation, marquee insurance, as well as public liability insurance for your guests, or a combined policy for all.
Whether you’re looking for destination wedding insurance overseas, or you need a more straightforward wedding reception insurance policy for your local wedding, we understand that you don’t always have the time to comb the internet looking for the most competitive insurance policies online, that’s why we do the searching for you! From our directory of UK wedding insurance companies we could help you find affordable policies to cover your specific needs.
When I buy wedding insurance will this include wedding honeymoon insurance as standard?
No, not necessarily.
Some wedding insurance companies may cover your honeymoon as standard, particularly if you’re taking out overseas wedding insurance or international wedding insurance for a destination wedding and you’re planning to honeymoon in the same location, but it’s still important to double check the terms and conditions of your policy to see what’s included – and what isn’t.
Of course, if the company you decide to go with doesn’t offer wedding insurance with honeymoon cover as standard you should still be able to add honeymoon cover to your policy, although you might have to pay a little extra for this. Just speak to the provider and let them know you want wedding insurance including honeymoon cover and they should be able to sort this for you.
How much is wedding insurance?
Wedding insurance companies will take a wide range of risk factors into account when calculating your events insurance wedding premium, and many of those risk factors will be unique to you and your wedding, so you’ll need to compare real quotes in order to get an idea of costs.
For instance, if you’re planning a destination wedding this will obviously affect your premium, because it introduces additional risks like airline issues, government-imposed travel restrictions, storms or other ‘acts of God’ that could all impact your big day.
Similarly, the number of guests you’re planning to have at your wedding reception will determine the cost of that wedding event, which could in turn influence the premium for your events insurance policy.
How do I know if I can trust the insurance company with my big day?
When you’re insuring your big day it is important to ensure you take out quality wedding insurance, which means you need to vet the insurance provider that’s issuing the policy. If you have friends or family members who have gotten married fairly recently (and they took out wedding insurance to protect their own weddings) you could ask them for their recommended wedding insurance providers.
Alternatively, you should be able to read reviews of the wedding insurance provider you’re thinking of going with via a site like Trustpilot, which can go some way towards confirming whether or not that company is one you can trust with your big day.
