Money Health Check Calculator

What is a money health check?

Our money health checker is an online tool designed to shine a light on your spending. It can give you a clearer idea of your overall expenses, whether you are living within your means, and where you can start budgeting.

The calculator also gives you personalised results and money saving tips to help you reduce bills so you can plan for longer term savings.

Turning a blind eye to your financial health is a dangerous choice in 2025. With inflation still above the 2% target at 2.6%, it’s no surprise that almost 50% of people in the UK are struggling to adjust to the rising cost of living.

How does it work?

Our free online calculator offers an instant solution to give you an overview of your outgoings, and how you could bring costs down.

You don’t need to sign up, or give any personal details.

Simply fill in your monthly spending on insurance, utilities, housing, and other bills, and we’ll give you a breakdown of your annual and monthly financial health, and recommend money saving tips.

“We’ve created a money health check calculator, designed to support financial awareness – helping households see clearly what they’re spending and where they could be saving, with expert tips on when, where and how to buy, to help cut out waste and put money back in the bank.

2025 UK Money Health Survey

As 2025 brought another wave of soaring costs, more and more households are being stretched beyond their means. With inflation still above the 2% target at 2.6%, items that cost £5 in 2020 now cost £6.26, adding to the strain on household essentials.

Based on our recent survey, nearly half of the respondents, 46%, are struggling to adjust to life at today’s prices, with 75% saying they are worse off financially this year than last

And it’s not just groceries going up. The energy price cap rose 6.4%, council tax hit a record 5% increase, and water bills are set to surge by an average of 26%, leaving most UK households vulnerable to growing financial pressure.

That’s why we created a money health check calculator. To help households get a clearer understanding of their overall expenses and keep an eye on their budget. The calculator also has money saving tips to help people reduce their bills and plan for longer term savings.
