Lancaster Car Insurance

Lancaster Insurance Services Ltd was formed as the insurance division for the MG Owners Club in 1984. The demand for classic car insurance grew rapidly and it was decided in 1989 to offer insurance for a wider variety of classic cars. This resulted in the MG insurance division becoming Lancaster Insurance Services Ltd. By 1996, Lancaster had expanded its products to include modern car insurance, buildings and/or contents insurance as well as travel insurance policies. In 2008 Lancaster Insurance Services Ltd was acquired by The Capita Group Plc.



Lancaster Insurance can insure cars in the UK and not in Northern Ireland. The company provides insurance for classic cars, modern cars, vans, household and travel insurance.



On most of the insurance covers, drivers are eligible for limited mileage discounts; good driver discounts; extra discounts for laid up policies; legal benefits insurance; free green card; in car entertainment cover; personal effects cover and agreed valuation.



Lancaster car insurance provides there main levels of cover: Third party only and it is the most basic level of cover; third party, fire and theft, similar to third party cover but it also pays to repair or replace your car if it's stolen or damaged by fire and comprehensive cover, which includes third party, fire and theft, plus the insurer will pay out if you cause damage to your own car.
