LADA is manufactured by the Russian company AvtoVAZ, which is known as VAZ or Volzhsky Automobilny Zavod. LADA was initially sold in external markets only, however in later years the LADA was also introduced to the Russian marketplace.
The LADA design was based on a Fiat design and was initially produced in 1970 and the model VAZ-210 is still produced today and remains the model that is most associated with the LADA brand. The LADA is produced in one of the largest factories in the world with over 90 miles of production lines. The majority of the parts for the LADA are made in house at the VAZ factory.
The LADA Riva Oakland was produced from 1991 until 1997. The LADA European product line also includes the LADA 110, 111, 112 and the LADA Niva. The LADA Niva is sold in Canada, Australia, South America as well as your and any other place where the training requires an off-road vehicle that is robust and able to stand up to tough treatment. Production began in 1977 and continues to this day with minor changes to the engine, the rear hatch design and some interior trim levels.
The LADA Niva is a four-wheel-drive vehicle, two-door design with a 1.6 l overhead cam 4-cylinder engine producing 72 horsepower. Customers can purchase the LADA Niva with a four or five-speed manual transmission and full-time four-wheel-drive.
