The first car manufactured by Sydney Allard was built in 1936 using a 1934 TT Ford V8 as a base for manufacture of what was to become a true legend. These cars were powerfull and would go to win the Monte – Carlo Rally and also the British Hillclimb championship. A few production models were built up to 1945 and then Allard began to build cars in a serious way.
Quotezone compares Allard car insurance quotes from up to 50 uk insurers. Just fill in one form then we retrieve the quotes and display the results on screen, it only takes 2 minutes.
These cars were still based on the two seat ford V8’s and then began to take on their own specialized design. Beginning with the J1 and later the J2, Allard was able to top speeds of 110 mph. Unfortunately no new models were produced after 1960.
