Daihatsu, a Japanese car company founded by Hatsudoki Seizo in 1907 and renamed in 1951. In 1967 they began working with Toyota Motor company and were then purchased by Toyota in 1999, becoming in a subsidiary of Toyota. The Fourtrak is also known as the Rocky in Europe and Australia and is the workhorse of Daihatsu. It is famous for the ability to deal with all manner of obstacles and maneuver across all types of terrain. It was first released in the early 1980s and has been available ever since. The Daihatsu fourtrak is a large vehicle compared to what Daihatsu normally builds. They have a reputation for building small reliable cars. The Daihatsu Sportrak is known as the Feroza in Europe and Australia however in America is known as Rocky which confuses it with the Daihatsu Fourtrak.
