Lincoln car insurance

The Lincoln Motor Company was founded in 1917 by Henry M. Leland. Leland, who was one of the founders of Cadillac, left General Motors during World War I and formed the Lincoln Motor Company to build Liberty aircraft engines for the war effort. Once the war was over the factories were redesigned to manufacture luxury automobiles.

The Lincoln Motor Company encountered severe financial troubles during the transition. Ford Motor Company in 1922 purchased the company and continues to this day to manufacture cars under the Lincoln marquee in the companies Lincoln-Mercury division. Lincoln is a well know brand around the world as well as in the UK.
