FSO Car Insurance

The letters FSO come from Fabryka Samochodow Osobowych, which means Passenger Automobile Factory and was the first development in Warsaw after the war. Everything lay in ruins and this was seen as a way to get people working again. The Russians persuaded the Poles to produce one of their vehicles even though a deal had been signed with Fiat.

The company was privatized in 1995 and purchased by Daewoo, however recently they have entered more difficult times and will probably drop the brand FSO from their company name in Poland. At one time many cars were being exported to countries around the world.
